No Knead Focaccia Bread

My mum’s famous focaccia bread! No kneading required, super easy, fluffy, light and delicious. Top it with anything you have on hand, and enjoy as a side to your favourite soup, bisque, dip or pasta.

RECIPE: (to serve 4 people)

2 1/2 half cups of plain flour
1 tsp salt
2 teaspoons of yeast
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 1/2 warm water

Method:

Combine sugar, yeast and warm water in a bowl. Mix together and set aside covered in a warm place for 10 mins.

Meanwhile, add your flour and salt to a bowl and mix together.


After your yeast has bubbled, mix it with your flour until combines and set aside for another 20 minutes covered in a warm place.


After 20 mins, you can stretch out you dough in a greased or lined tray/pan and drizzle with oil.

Cover with you choice of toppings, a favourite of mine is cherry tomatoes, some olives and red onions, sprinkled with pepper and salt.

Bake at 240 degrees Celsius for around 15-20 min, or until golden brown and crispy.
